A violent altercation at the Red Roof Inn in Amherst on Tuesday night resulted in a young girl being hospitalized and two adults sustaining injuries. The incident, which involved a kitchen knife, prompted a swift response from law enforcement and first responders.

According to authorities, a 2-year-old girl was stabbed during the fight and was subsequently transported to Oishei Children's Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Meanwhile, a 32-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man also suffered injuries with the woman receiving treatment at the scene for defensive wounds. The man declined further medical attention.
