5-year-old Child, His Mother, Pepper Sprayed During Niagara Falls Assault

POLICE AUDIO CAN BE FOUND AT THE END OF THIS ARTICLE: Law enforcement received a call around 9:03pm on July 3rd after reports of an assault with injuries on Ontario Avenue in Niagara Falls involving a child.

The 911 caller told police that a 5-year-old and an adult female were pepper sprayed by a suspect known to the parties. Both the adult and child were in significant distress when first responders arrived and required emergency medical treatment as pepper spray is extremely painful.

Police, fire and AMR responded to the scene to provide medical treatment.  It is unknown if the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody or if the child required being taken to children’s hospital for further treatment. No further information is available at this time.
