Law enforcement received a call around 10:10am on November 21st after reports of a check the welfare on 10th Street in Niagara Falls.
The 911 caller - an aunt of 9-year-old [name omitted] - stated that he is at the apartment with his father who is doing drugs. The child is being forced to be in a room.
The father has been identified as Arriel Pettigrew.
Police responded to the scene. The result of the call is unknown.
