Bumperless Vehicle Draws Attention of Niagara Falls Police

Niagara Falls Police were on routine patrol around 6pm on March 24th when officers observed a vehicle with no front bumper and no NYS license plate as it was traveling westbound on Pine Avenue from Hyde Park Boulevard. The patrol vehicle’s emergency lights were activated and they initiated a traffic stop on the 2700 block of Grand Avenue.

The driver/owner of the vehicle acknowledged that his vehicle had “issues.” The vehicle was found to have a suspended registration, no insurance, no NYS front plate, and no front bumper. The male driver was also found to have an expired NYS driver’s license.

Officers asked the male to exit his vehicle and for permission to search the vehicle, which he allowed. While they were searching the vehicle, the male driver stated, “I don’t know if anything is in it. . . it ain’t mine if there is.”

The vehicle was towed.

Upon further investigation, a female occupant was found to have outstanding warrants out of North Tonawanda and Lockport. She was taken into custody.

No further information is available at this time.
