Burglars Break in Through Window, Take $1,000 Worth of Items from Woman's Home

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2700 block of Monroe Avenue around midnight on June 2nd after reports of a burglary.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the female victim who stated she was notified her house was broken into.
After returning home she found her living room TV (valued at $269) to be damaged and four pairs of shoes (valued at $400), four purses (valued at $230), a TV (valued at $160), and her necklace (valued at $300) missing from her bedroom.
The victim told police that her back window and door were open when she got home. These were both secured upon her leaving the home earlier that day.
Officers observed a handprint on the window the suspect entered through.
Detectives from the CSU arrived to process the scene. No further information is available at this time.
