"Catch Me If You Can" - Female Thief Apprehended After Fleeing Home Depot

Niagara Falls Police responded to Home Depot around 8:00pm on June 11th after reports that a female had attempted to steal $150 in merchandise.

Upon arrival, officers had the suspected thief in custody who had been fleeing from Home Depot. She had gotten to the 6900 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard before being apprehended. The female suspect was then transported back to Home Depot for positive identification.

According to a representative of Home Depot, the female concealed a TV, Milwaukee flush cutters and 2 plug-in Ring devices and passed all points of purchase without paying. Employees attempted to stop the female before she fled on foot but were unsuccessful.

One witness to the incident not quoted in the police report stated he thought the woman shouted, "catch me if you can" as she ran laughing through the parking lot. As it turns out, they did catch her.

The police report indicates that the total amount of property was $146.82. The female was transported to police headquarters for processing before being released with an appearance ticket.

No further information is available.

The laws we have now ARE NOT doing the job. Jackasses like this think they can steal whatever they want because the consequences, if there are any, are nothing, especially to them. PLEASE go back to the way the laws used to be so the madness will stop
