Child Pinned Between Two Vehicles at North Tonawanda Walmart

A child sustained a minor injury after being caught between two vehicles in the Walmart parking lot in North Tonawanda. Police Chief Keith Glass reported that the incident involved a slow-speed, minor fender bender when a vehicle was backing out of a parking space and collided with another vehicle, resulting in the child being pinned between them. The driver of the backing vehicle received a ticket for unsafe backing.

The child is sustained minor injuries.

This incident follows a tragic event in September, when 74-year-old Faye Haner of North Tonawanda was struck and killed in the same parking lot. Haner was crossing through the crosswalk when she was hit by an SUV driven by a 51-year-old woman, who allegedly failed to yield. The driver is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, according to police.

No further information is available at this time.
