CPR Saves Man After Fight Leaves Him Unresponsive on Street


Niagara Falls Police are investigating a late-night incident that left one man unresponsive on the 2400 block of Niagara Avenue.


Just before midnight on Thursday, at approximately 11:40pm, officers were dispatched to Niagara Avenue following reports of a fight and a person down on the sidewalk.



Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male lying on the ground. He was not moving, nor did he have a detectable pulse.


Emergency medical personnel from Niagara Falls Fire Department and AMR responded to the scene and began lifesaving measures, including CPR.



First responders were able to restore the man’s pulse before transporting him by ambulance to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for further treatment.


Detectives launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.


Police have not released any details about the man's identity or condition.
