Disabled Female Punched in the Face and Thrown Out of Wheelchair Found Lying in Street by Police


Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1900 block of Niagara Street around 9pom on July 12th after reports of a disabled female lying in the street who was punched in the face and thrown out of her wheelchair by an unknown suspect.



Upon arrival, police observed a female laying on the ground with a wheelchair next to her. The victim told police that she had asked the unknown suspect to “move over” and he became extremely angry. The suspect punched her in the face and then violently knocked her out of the wheelchair, leaving her lying on the ground immobilized.



Police observed injuries to the victim's face and she complained of head pain. AMR was requested and she was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for treatment. Officers then spoke with a passerby who stated the victim was taking to the unknown suspect and he got “very angry out of nowhere.” After the incident, the suspect fled eastbound on Niagara Street and dropped his cellphone.



While police were still on scene, an unknown female approached officers stating that the male suspect dropped her cellphone. She was told that the male would have to come and retrieve it, at which time the female because angry and left.



The suspect was described as a black male approx. 5’ 10”, thin build, was not wearing a shirt, and believed to be a juvenile. No further information is available.
