Female Arrested After She Aids in Escape of Male from Police Custody in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls Police were on routine patrol around 5:00pm on June 10th when officers observed a male known to law enforcement who had several outstanding warrants.  

Officers approached the male and an unknown female at which time they both took off running. The male was observed going into the backyard of a residence and was found hiding in a thick brush area.  While being handcuffed, the male lied and gave police a fake name.

The male was placed into the rear of a patrol vehicle. While officers were discussing with detectives what had occurred, the female walked behind officers and opened the rear door of the patrol vehicle letting the male escape. Both the male and female were apprehended after a short foot chase.

After the attempted escape, the female was now placed under arrest. Both individuals were transported to police headquarters for booking and processing.
