Fleeing Car Evades Police in Niagara Falls, Abandons Vehicle

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, around 1:45am, a 2018 Chevy Equinox fled from a Niagara County Sheriff Deputy.

Officers from the Niagara Falls Police Department attempted to assist the Sheriff Deputy when they refused to pull over and were driving through the south end of the city. The vehicle was able to evade police and the chase was eventually terminated.

Around 20 minutes later, Sheriffs found the vehicle unoccupied at 3rd Street and Rainbow Blvd..

An investigation is ongoing.
