The family of Gabby Kranock, a 19-year-old who suffered serious injuries in a crash more than a year ago, has confirmed her passing. The crash occurred in Portville in September of 2022 and left Kranock paralyzed from the shoulders down. It was caused by alleged drunk driving and also claimed the life of 19-year-old Kayden Belleisle.
Kranock's plight touched the Western New York community, leading to many acts of generosity. In January, West Herr contributed a wheelchair van to Kranock and her family. This past weekend, Gabby's mother posted on Facebook that her daughter was transported by Mercy Flight due to a high fever. By Tuesday morning, she posted that Gabby had received her wings.
