Home of Family Who Went to Watch Fireworks at Niagara Falls Burglarized


Niagara Falls Police responded to the 500 block of 16th Street around 1:00am on July 11th after reports that the home of a family who went to watch fireworks at Niagara Falls State Park was burglarized.


Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated his family left their residence a few hours prior and went down to the falls to watch the fireworks. Around 10:30pm they returned home and observed their downstairs air conditioning unit on the ground with the window left wide open.



The complainant nervously entered the home unaware if someone else was still inside. After clearing the home, he observed several items missing from the home including, but no limited to, Apple air pods, $400 cash, an SP laptop, and 2 Samsung cell phones. The total value of all items taken is approx. $1,700.
