Jessica Pegula Advances to Second Round of Paris Olympics Singles Tennis

Jessica Pegula, representing the United States, has advanced to the second round of the Paris Olympics singles tennis competition with a quick victory over Switzerland's Viktorija Golubic on Sunday. Pegula displayed her prowess on the court needing only two sets to secure her win with scores of 6-3 and 6-4.

This impressive triumph marks Pegula's second consecutive straight-set victory of the weekend. Just a day prior, she and her partner Coco Gauff celebrated their first win in the doubles tennis competition. Pegula's outstanding performance in both singles and doubles showcases her versatility and skill in the sport.

Looking ahead, Pegula is set to face Ukraine's Elina Svitolina on Monday, July 29th. The match is scheduled as the fourth event of the day on the prestigious Philippe Chatrier Court.
