Male Dies After Vehicle Strikes Tree

On August 8th, 2024, at approximately 0909 hours, the Niagara County Sheriff's Communication Center received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle accident in which a single vehicle struck a tree in the 2800 block of West Lake Road.

Personnel from Wilson Volunteer Fire Co., South Wilson Volunteer Fire Co., and Olcott Volunteer Fire Company, arrived on scene and started to provide medical care to the sole occupant of the vehicle. While on scene, the occupant succumbed to his injuries. The name of the party involved is being withheld pending next of kin notification. Investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit is continuing.
