Male Who Died After Striking Tree Identified

The deceased party involved in the motor vehicle accident which occurred on West Lake Road on August 8, 2024 at 0909 hours, has been identified as Brian Bolt, 59 years old, of Amherst, New York. Investigation by The Niagara County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Unit into the incident is continuing.
ORIGINAL STORY
On August 8th, 2024, at approximately 0909 hours, the Niagara County Sheriff's Communication Center received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle accident in which a single vehicle struck a tree in the 2800 block of West Lake Road.
Personnel from Wilson Volunteer Fire Co., South Wilson Volunteer Fire Co., and Olcott Volunteer Fire Company, arrived on scene and started to provide medical care to the sole occupant of the vehicle. While on scene, the occupant succumbed to his injuries. Investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit is continuing.
