Motorcycle-SUV Crash in Niagara County Sends Two to Hospital, One Via Airlift with Life-threatening Injuries

Two people were hospitalized following a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV Sunday afternoon in the Town of Cambria, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
A deputy discovered the crash around 4:55pm while on patrol along Campbell Boulevard.
The 60-year-old man operating the motorcycle was found lying in the road with serious injuries.
Deputies provided medical assistance until emergency medical services arrived.
The man was later airlifted to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight and reportedly has life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed the motorcyclist had been heading south on Campbell Boulevard when he crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with an SUV.
The SUV’s driver, a 38-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries and was taken to ECMC by ambulance.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved. No charges have been filed against the driver of the SUV, although that is subject to change.
The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Unit.
