After careful consideration and strategic evaluation of the evolving media landscape, Niagara Action is temporarily pausing its print publication for the next several months as we transition our primary focus toward expanding our online publication and digital news operations. Since launching in 2015, Niagara Action has grown into one of Western New York’s largest multi-media news platforms, and over these next few months we will continue scaling our digital reach while enhancing the speed and quality of our coverage across Niagara Falls, Buffalo, and the surrounding region.
Over the past year, Niagara Action’s digital audience has experienced tremendous growth. Our platforms now generate more than 300,000 monthly page views while our social media presence has expanded to more than 515,000 Facebook followers. Across all platforms, Niagara Action reaches 5 to 20 million people per month with audience engagement exceeding 3 million interactions monthly. In addition, our video content exceeds more than 3 million views every month as readers increasingly consume local news through social and digital media.
While this is a temporary pause in print operations, Niagara Action remains committed to local journalism and serving Western New York with aggressive, independent, and community-focused reporting. We thank our readers and supporters for helping us build one of the region’s fastest-growing news platforms and look forward to continuing that growth in the months ahead.
