Niagara County Inmate Throws Dirty Toilet Water on Corrections Officers

Niagara County Baxter Crime News Niagara ActionA Niagara Falls man already incarcerated inside the Niagara County Correctional Facility is facing additional felony charges after throwing water from a toilet onto two correction officers.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on May 14th inside the correctional facility. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau later launched an investigation into what occurred.

Investigators say the inquiry determined that 35-year-old Demetrius M. Baxter, of Niagara Falls, allegedly threw toilet water at two correction officers while housed as an inmate at the jail.

Following the investigation, Baxter was charged with two counts of Aggravated Harassment of an Employee by an Inmate, which are E-Felonies under New York State law.

Authorities said Baxter is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lockport court on June 4th at 9:00am.
