Niagara County Jail Corrections Officer Arrested, Suspended Pending Investigation

Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti announced that Corrections Officer Deonte Paige, age 28, of Niagara Falls, was arrested on a charge of Harassment in the Second Degree, a Violation, stemming from conduct at the jail. Paige was arrested following an investigation conducted by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Bureau.

The complaint stemmed from an allegation made by an incarcerated individual within the facility. Paige was released on an appearance ticket and directed to appear in the Town of Lockport Court on August 15, 2024 to answer the charge.

Paige has been suspended pending a departmental investigation and hearing. Due to the ongoing investigation and pending departmental charges, no further information will be released at this time.
