Niagara Falls Man Arrested for Making a Terroristic Threat Against County Building


Sheriff Michael Filicetti announces the arrest of Jonathan Harding, 39, of the City of Niagara Falls, who was charged with making a Terroristic Threat, a D Felony, and Aggravated Harassment in the second degree.



Harding was arrested after an investigation into a threat of violence against the Niagara County Treasurer's Building in the City of Lockport on July 18, 2024. A warrant for Harding's arrest was issued and he was taken into custody on July 19, 2024 following the execution of a search warrant of Harding's residence.



A Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order was also issued against Harding and multiple firearms were seized from his residence. Harding was transported to the City of Lockport Police Department to be processed and held for arraignment.
