Niagara Falls Man Indicted in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced today that a grand jury has indicted 39-year-old Antoine Bones of Niagara Falls in connection with a deadly hit-and-run that claimed the life of a local woman last summer.

According to the indictment, Bones is facing charges of Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Motor Vehicle Incident Without Reporting. Prosecutors allege that on August 5th, 2024, Bones struck and fatally injured 50-year-old Yolanda Carr with a vehicle he was operating in the City of Niagara Falls then fled the scene without notifying authorities.

The indictment, unsealed in Niagara County Court, followed a months-long investigation by the Niagara Falls Police Department. Bones was arraigned before Judge John Ottaviano who set bail at $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond.

The case is being prosecuted by Christine Savoia, Chief of the Vehicular Crimes Bureau, along with Assistant District Attorney Richelle Kloch.
