Niagara Falls Police responded to the Coastal Gas Station on the 600 block of 19th Street around 11pm on May 4th after reports of an unwanted person. Officers were advised that a male well-known to police was inside the store and creating a disturbance.
Upon arrival, the male was already being dispersed by other responding officers. He claimed that he was jumped.
Officers did observe injuries on his face. However, the male refused medical treatment and was highly uncooperative.
Instead, the male claimed to just want a ride home because he was being followed. Officers explained that they could not do that and he would have to walk.
After the male returned home, he called emergency services and stated: “gimme help or I’m gonna grab a gun,” “either get me a LT or I’m gonna get a gun,” and “I’m done playing with you.”
Due to the threats, the same officer who denied giving him a ride arrived and placed him under arrest. He was transported to police headquarters for booking and processing.
No further information is available at this time.
