Niagara Falls Woman Follows Porch Pirate Until Police Apprehend Him

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2400 block of Linwood Avenue around 6:20pm on Tuesday, April 9th, after reports of a larceny in progress (porch pirate).

Dispatch advised that a male went onto the porch of a residence stealing a package and that the victim was following the suspect. Police were able to quickly apprehend the suspect who was placed in custody. However, he had already disposed of the package in an alleyway and refused to tell police which one.

The victim told police that she saw the suspect approaching the porch, taking the package and leaving. The package contained two dresses.

The report did not state that the package was located.
