Niagara Falls Woman Walking Home Nearly Abducted in Broad Daylight, Neighbor Intervenes

LISTEN TO POLICE AUDIO BELOW: Law enforcement received a call around 12:36pm on May 15th after reports of an attempted abduction on the 2800 block of Highland Avenue in Niagara Falls.

The 911 caller and female victim told police that she was leaving a local deli when a Jamaican man in a truck tried to abduct her. She was able to escape his grasp due to a neighbor who observed the abduction occurring and stepped in.

Police responded to the scene. It is unknown if the male was located after he fled in his vehicle, of which law enforcement was given a description.
