Odd Burglary Report in Niagara Falls Doesn't Pass the Smell Test

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1800 block of Pine Avenue around 9:45am after reports of a burglary.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated that sometime overnight an individual(s) entered the building through the back door and stole his Xbox 360 and two controllers. That's it.

Police observed that the building had not been used for anything in quite some time. The complainant stated he lives upstairs, but there is no apartment number and it was not immediately apparent anyone would be living in the building. The rear steel door had no damage or signs of forced entry.

The complainant showed police that the Xbox was on a shelf behind a makeshift curtain. He said there are security cameras, but he does not know how to use them.

No further information is available at this time.
