One Person in Critical Condition after Overnight Hit-and-Run


A hit-and-run accident in Buffalo on Tuesday night has left one person with serious injuries according to a city spokesperson. The incident took place around 7pm at the intersection of Amherst and Grant Streets.


Emergency responders quickly transported the victim to ECMC where they are currently in critical condition. The Buffalo Police Department's Accident Investigation Unit arrived at the scene around 9:30pm to begin their investigation, which is ongoing.



Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Tips can be submitted confidentially by calling or texting the Buffalo Police Department's tip line at (716) 847-2255.


No arrests have been made and the identity of the striking vehicle's driver remains unknown.
