Police Pursue Purse Thief: Niagara Falls Delta Sonic Incident Sparks Investigation

Niagara Falls Police responded t Delta Sonic on Niagara Falls Boulevard around 3:00pm on Wednesday, March 13th after a reported purse theft.

According to the complainant, while getting her car detailed she had her purse hanging off the back of the chair. She was called away forgetting to bring her purse, at which point the suspect walked over and sat in the same chair. The suspect’s vehicle is brought up to the waiting area and after he starts walking to the door, he circles back, grabs the purse, and exits.

Law enforcement was given the license plate number and surveillance footage was being shared as well. The complainant stated her Canadian passport, birth certificate, health card, driver’s license, 7 credit cards and 3 debit cards were inside the purse as well as over $1,000 in cash (both U.S. and Canadian). In addition, her husband’s U.S. passport and cards were in her purse as well.
