Porch Fire Under Investigation After Gas Can Set Ablaze in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1100 block of Michigan Avenue around 3:45am on April 1st, 2024, after a gas can was set ablaze causing a porch fire.

Upon arrival, police spoke with the caller who stated an unknown person came on his porch and lit a gas can on fire. Officers did observe damage to the porch area.

The complainant became agitated as more questions were asked, stating, “get the fuc* off my property I don’t want you here. I called the fire department, not the police.”

Niagara Falls Fire arrived on scene and extinguished the gas can. No further information is available at this time.
