On the Canadian side of Niagara falls you will find a year-round attraction that offers one of the most unique views of the Falls from both below and behind; it is called Journey Behind the Falls.
How do we get to the Journey Behind the Falls?
After purchasing your ticket, you will enter an elevator that descends you approximately 125 feet. Stepping off of the elevator, you will then be directed through two short tunnels that provides access to two observation decks and two portals located directly behind the Falls.
How long does it take?
Depending on how long you stay on the decks to see and experience the Falls, most can expect approximately 30 to 45 minutes from start to finish.
Do we have to buy the ponchos?
Throughout the spring and summer months, a free biodegradable rain poncho will be provided at no cost to you. You can keep it as a souvenir!
Can we visit in the winter?
Yes! Winter rates are reduced throughout the cold weather months. Please note that the Lower Observation Deck is closed during the winter due to icy conditions.
Fun facts:
Throughout the day in the summer months there is over 2,800 cubic meters of water plunging over the brink every second traveling at approximately 40+ miles an hour!
These tunnels are over 130 years old!
