Queen Elizabeth Visited Niagara Falls Before Corrination

Queen Elizabeth reigned as the British Monarch for 70 years between 1952 and 2022. A question people always ask is if she ever visited Niagara Falls as queen. Although the answer strictly speaking is no, that isn't the entire story.

Princess Elizabeth visited Niagara Falls just three months before ascending to the throne on November 7th, 1951. Prince Philip and Princess Elizabeth visited the falls and then attended a National Hockey League game in Toronto between the Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks.

After her coronation, Queen Elizabeth came close to Niagara Falls but never reportedly came back to view the (unnoficial) seventh wonder of the world:

i. Queen Elizabeth visited Hamilton, Ontario on July 2nd, 1959

ii. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip visited St. Catherines and Niagara-on-the-Lake on June 28th, 1973

Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip's trip to Niagara Falls was a memorable moment in history that hundreds came to observe.
