Niagara Falls Police responded to Subway on the 2600 block of Pine Avenue around 12pm on May 6th after reports of a robbery.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to an employee who stated that at approx. 10:20am an unknown black male entered the restaurant and began filling up a white garbage bag with drinks from the cooler. The employee said she was standing behind the counter and asked the male, "you’re just going to take our drinks?”
She then started to walk around the counter at which point the male replied to her and stated, “don’t come around the counter, I have a knife.”
The employee said she froze and remained behind the counter where she feared for his life. He continued to fill up the bag with more drinks, exited the store, and got onto a dark-colored bike and rode off westbound on Pine Avenue.
