Niagara Falls Police responded to the Sunoco gas station on the 2200 block of Hyde Park Blvd. around 10pm on July 23rd after reports of a larceny.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to an employee who stated that around 8:50pm, an unknown black male entered his story and began picking up merchandise and placing it at the checkout counter.

The unknown male then proceeded to grab a box of Reese’s and Butterfinger candy bars and exited the store.

The suspect did not pay for the merchandise, which is valued at $130.

The employee showed officers video footage of the incident.

Officers observed an unknown black male wearing jean shorts, no shirt and a multi-colored bucket hat walk into the store and begin placing merchandise on the counter.

He then turns around and grabs two boxes of candy, then walks out of the store.

A search of the area yielded negative results. The identify of the suspect is unknown.
