Niagara Falls Police responded to Family Dollar on the 800 block of Portage Road around 9:30am after reports of a shoplifter. The store manager advised police that a frequent shoplifter entered the store and stole a drink.
The suspect, a black male wearing a bills hat and red shoes, was taken into custody a short distance away from the store sitting in the bus station drinking a “twisted tea original” as officers approached him. He did not offer to share any with officers.
The male was transported back to Family Dollar and positively identified by the manager. The total value of items stolen totaled $3.51. Of note, this male already had an active trespass notice from Family Dollar.
The male was then transported back to police headquarters for booking and processing. He was charged with Petit Larceny and burglary 3rd.
No further information is available at this time.

So how is the bail and prosecution reform working out?? These people just keep going back to the SAME places and committing the SAME crimes and STILL nothing is really done to them. Change the laws back and start punishing people for committing crimes before they drive all the businesses out of the cities
