Terroristic Threat on Snapchat Leads to Arrest of Canisius University Student


A Canisius University student has been arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat after posting a concerning message on Snapchat according to the Buffalo Police Department. The post, which was deemed "threatening in nature," was reported to the police department around 11am on Thursday.



Upon receiving the report, an immediate investigation was launched to identify the individual responsible for the post. The alleged creator, 18-year-old Wyatt Losi, was swiftly apprehended without incident.


It is not immediately cleat at this time what Losi's motive was or the circumstances surrounding the threat.



In response to the seriousness of the situation, a temporary extreme risk protection order was granted. Losi now faces one count of making a terroristic threat, which is a class D felony. The Buffalo Police Department emphasizes the importance of reporting any suspicious activity and encourages the community to remain vigilant. Individuals can report such activity by calling or texting 716-847-2255.
