Thief Goes on $600 Shopping Spree After Stealing Wallet from Unlocked Car

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 500 block of 74th Street around 9:30am on June 11th after reports of a thief entering an unlocked vehicle, stealing a wallet, and going on a $600 shopping spree.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated that her unlocked vehicle was entered overnight. Inside of the vehicle were seven credit cards that were removed from her glove compartment.
The complainant was made aware of two transactions made using the credit cards. The first was a $215 charge at 7-Eleven. The second was at Wegmans in the amount of $419. Both businesses were in Buffalo.
In addition to the credit cards a driver’s license, health insurance card and social security card were taken.
Police spoke with neighbors who stated they were aware of the incident because it was captured on their Ring camera. The video showed a male suspect attempting to enter several vehicles in the vicinity.

You have to lock your doors to everything all the time. This guy was just walking around looking for the easy steal and she gave it to him. Why have those credit cards, etc. in your car if your not in the car also
