Tragic Accident on I-90: Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Multiple Vehicles

In a tragic incident on Friday night, an unidentified pedestrian was fatally struck by multiple vehicles on I-90 in Hamburg according to a statement by the New York State Police.

The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. when a Lexus traveling eastbound on I-90 collided with an object on the roadway. The driver immediately pulled over and dialed 911 for assistance. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the vehicle had struck an unknown male pedestrian.

Unfortunately, the victim was subsequently struck by numerous other vehicles and tractor-trailers, as confirmed by the police. The male's remains were transported to the Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for an autopsy and potential identification. The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.

The New York State Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation. They are also reminding drivers to remain vigilant and exercise caution while driving, especially during nighttime hours when visibility may be reduced.
