Vehicle in a Ditch Results in DWI and Endangering Welfare of a Child Charges


On January 20th, 2025 at 01:58 hours, Deputy Sikora and Deputy Gilhousen responded to the 4500 block of Mapleton Road for a reported vehicle in a ditch. During the course of the subsequent traffic investigation, Deputy Sikora observed signs of intoxication from the operator who was identified as ALEXANDER J. TASSEFF, a 23 year old male from the Village of Angola.



Resulting from the investigation, TASSEFF was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – Leandra’s Law (Felony), Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Misdemeanor), and additional vehicle and traffic violations. The four juvenile passengers ranging in age from 15 – 16 years old were safely returned home. TASSEFF was transported to the Niagara County Jail
