Vehicle Smashes Into Garage Overnight Causing $5,000+ in Damage

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 500 block of 15th Street around 6pm on May 4th after reports of criminal mischief and property damage.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to a husband and wife. The wife stated she came outside around 3pm to do yardwork and noticed the center pillar of their alleyway garage door was pushed back.

The garage’s damage was described as “significant,” specifically to the front portion of the garage. The husband and wife were told by a neighbor that they heard a loud crash shortly before midnight. However, they did not see anything, nor did they investigate the sound.

Officers noticed cameras in the vicinity. However, none were operational.

Estimated damage to the garage is between $5,000 and $11,000.
