Victim Stabbed in the Back and Neck, Suspect Taken into Custody by Force

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 400 block of 9th Street around 9pm on May 13th after reports of an assault with a knife. Upon arrival, there was a man on his porch screaming, “he is armed with a knife.”

Officers were met by the male suspect who was in the middle of the street yelling. They told him to put his hands on his head and turn around multiple times in an attempt to diffuse the situation. However, the suspect refused to comply with their commands.

At one point, the suspect told police, “I ain’t fuc*ing doing this” and proceeded to walk away.

The official incident reported noted that officers were in fear for their safety as well as others outside and used force to subdue the suspect. This included the use of a department-issued taser. It is unknown if the suspect or officers sustained any injuries as a result of the physical encounter.

Officers spoke to the victim who stated that the suspect was talking about killing people who try and mess with him. The victim told him to leave and go back down the street. However, he refused and that is when the altercation ensued.

The suspect pulled out a knife on the victim and stabbed him once in the back and on the face.

The suspect was taken to police headquarters for booking and processing. No further information is available at this time.
