Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1400 block of Fort Avenue around 5am on July 29th after reports of criminal mischief.
Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant and homeowner who stated that he was woken up by the sound of banging on glass.
When he walked out of his 2nd floor unit, he found his floor window in the hallway smashed open.
Officers then began to search the house. When they inspected the 2nd floor window, they observed a female unconscious and lying on top of the porch roof below.
Officers climbed onto the roof and woke her up. The female, later identified as Heather Daoust, was “extremely incoherent.”
Daoust repeatedly stated she was coming into “Cameron’s house.”
This was not Cameron’s house.
Daoust was then aided by officers off the porch roof before being taken into custody. The value of the broken window was estimated at $150.
The complainant homeowner stated that he does not know Daoust and no one else lives in the home.
Daoust was transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. While there, she was belligerent with officers.
She was kicking officers, spitting at them and refusing to cooperate with booking.
Daoust was held at the jail for a prior failure to appear.
