Woman Arrested for DWI Under Leandra’s Law With Child in Vehicle

A Lockport woman is facing multiple charges after driving intoxicated with a child in her vehicle.
At approximately 11:16am on Friday, July 25th, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a concerned citizen reporting a possible intoxicated driver.
Deputy Kenny located the suspect vehicle in the City of Lockport and conducted a traffic stop after observing a violation.
During the investigation, the deputy observed signs of impairment in the driver, who was identified as 32-year-old Ashleigh Nunnari of Lockport.
Nunnari was subsequently arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law (Felony), Operating a Motor Vehicle with a B.A.C. over .08% (Misdemeanor), Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Misdemeanor), among other traffic-related violations.
An 8-year-old child who was in the vehicle at the time of the arrest was safely released to a family member.
Nunnari was processed and is scheduled to appear in Lockport City Court. The investigation is ongoing.
