Niagara Falls Police responded to the area of Pine Avenue/Robbins Drive around 6:30pm on May 31st after reports of a disabled vehicle that ultimately resulted in an arrest.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the female driver whose vehicle had run out of gas on the side of the roadway. Dispatch advised that the female had an active warrant out of the City of Niagara Falls.
Officers advised the female to exit the vehicle where she was placed in handcuffs and placed under arrest. She then became uncooperative with officers as she was escorted to the rear of a patrol vehicle.
Although the female was given several commands to put her feet into the vehicle, she refused to do so. Officers then had to use force to get her into the vehicle. It was not mentioned in the official incident report whether the female or any law enforcement officers were injured during the physical altercation.
She was transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. In addition to the warrant, she was charged with resisting arrest.
No further information is available at this time.
