Worst Nightmare: Woman Awoken at 2am and Finds Herself Face-to-face with Burglar

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2700 block of Lockport Street around 3:30am on July 13th after reports of a premises check which later turned into a home invasion where a woman found herself face-to-face with a burglar.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated that around 2:55am she heard a loud bang coming from the downstairs of her residence. She then heard what was believed to be her side door opening.

The complainant walked downstairs and froze as she observed a tall black male wearing a grey sweatshirt with his hood up standing inside of her residence. Upon making eye contact, the male became spooked and ran out of the door.

Officers searched the area with negative results but were able to view camera footage of a male trying to enter the home. No further information is available.
