72-year-old Male Arrested for Producing Disturbing Child Porn Videos

A 72-year-old man, who is currently on parole for an attempted murder conviction dating back over 40 years, has been arrested for producing disturbing child porn videos, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Authorities revealed that during a routine home visit in April they conducted a cell phone search on Santos Gonzalez's phone. What they discovered was deeply disturbing. An investigation allegedly uncovered several self-produced videos depicting minor females in public settings, as well as a video filmed inside a residence with two minor females. Shockingly, one of the girls in the video has an order of protection against Gonzalez. Additionally, authorities found eight videos that allegedly show Gonzalez sexually abusing a minor female.

Gonzalez, who was released from prison in December 2021, is currently on parole for his convictions in March 1981, which include attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, burglary, and attempted assault.

Gonzalez is now facing charges of sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child pornography.

If convicted, he could be sentenced to a minimum of 15 years in prison, with a maximum sentence of 30 years.

The arrest has sparked outrage and concern among community members, who are questioning how someone with such a violent criminal history was able to hide these assaults for so long.

The U.S. Attorney's Office has assured the public that they are committed to pursuing justice in this case and protecting the welfare of children. They are urging anyone with additional information or potential victims to come forward and assist in the investigation.
