Child in Critical Condition following E-Bike and Vehicle Collision


A 10-year-old girl is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while riding an electric bicycle Monday evening in the City of Tonawanda.


According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 7:30pm at the intersection of Main and Fletcher Street. The child was traveling eastbound on an e-bike when she was hit by a white Infiniti SUV driven by a 69-year-old man heading northbound.



Emergency responders transported the girl to Oishei Children’s Hospital where she is being treated for severe injuries. Police have not filed any charges at this time and the crash remains under investigation.

City of Tonawanda Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant video footage to contact them at (716) 692-2121.
