Death of 30-year-old Woman on Twin Cities Memorial Highway Under Investigation

A crash on the Twin Cities Memorial Highway in Tonawanda Monday evening claimed the life of a 30-year-old woman, according police.
The incident occurred around 5:15pm when the woman, driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer, was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by a 55-year-old man. Emergency responders transported the woman to DeGraff Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The male driver of the Tahoe sustained injuries and was taken to Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital for treatment. At this time, no charges have been filed and the investigation remains ongoing. The name of the deceased is not being disclosed at this time.
