Female Pilot Dies in Youngstown, NY Plane Crash - Plane Owned by Skydive the Falls

A small plane crash near Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown, Niagara County, resulted in the death of a female pilot on Saturday afternoon. The crash occurred just before noon off the Niagara Scenic Parkway, with the plane hitting the side of a hill near the parkway’s southbound lanes. The single-engine plane was owned by Skydive the Falls.

Due to the crash, Niagara Scenic Parkway South is closed at Fort Niagara State Park, and the right lane of Niagara Scenic Parkway North is also closed at the same location. Officials expect these roadway closures to remain in place for the rest of Saturday.
