Home Deemed a Total Loss in Niagara County After Fire


On July 28th, 2024 at approximately 1033 hours, the Niagara County Sheriff's Communication Center received a 911 call reporting a fire on the porch of a residence at 3189 Stone Road in the Town of Hartland.



Personnel and equipment from Middleport Volunteer Fire company arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire at the residence. All occupants of the residence were able to safely escape the residence prior to the fire company’s arrival. Multiple additional fire companies were dispatched for manpower to help extinguish the fire.



The residence was deemed a total loss. The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross. The investigation into the cause of the fire is being handled by the Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit.
