Loaded Gun Found Hidden in Baby Stroller; Two Upstate New York Men Charged

Two men from Schenectady are facing multiple charges after Colonie Police say they discovered a loaded firearm concealed in a stroller occupied by a 2-month-old baby.
According to police, 19-year-old Jose Rivera and 22-year-old Charles Jones were taken into custody Friday night near 1770 Central Avenue.
Officers say they found a loaded Taurus 9mm handgun and two high-capacity magazines hidden inside a diaper bag placed under the child’s stroller.
Rivera and Jones have been charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Both suspects were arraigned in Colonie Town Court on Saturday and released under probation supervision.
